PayPal Problem

Can anyone help?

I set up PayPal on my website as instructed by the on screen help. This involved going to Payment, selecting payments, international and filling in all the required fields. I ticked the use test mode and set up a test buyer account in paypal sandbox.

My problem is that when my order is sent to paypal for payment, it is received by paypal I see how much is to be paid and a pay now button. When I press the pay now button, paypal informs me that the invoice has already been paid for more information contact the merchant. When I press the return to website button, I see that the order has failed.

If I don’t press the return to website button and close the paypal window. My site will record the order as received with no payment status. The history shows event types; created and sent to payment service, as pending.

I would appreciate any help.

Thank you for your reply. I have found the problem. I needed to make sure that I keyed in the correct test data. Especially putting the correct test users email address into the order form. Also I had to remember to close down Mozilla Firefox and start it again, because it world remember the last order and think the new order had been paid.
